Dream Jobs

I just completed training at Utah's Musuem of Natural History to work in the paleo lab. I get to play with dinosaur bones now :)

I also just got a job at Utah's one and only vegan bakery, Cakewalk! I get to do the baking, icing, and decorating. It's definately my dream job! And I'm still only a teenager! Passing telemarketing, fast food, busing tables, and manual labor to get to an actually fun job that I will be good at!

My cat gets irritated by obnoxious commercials, hates my Grandma's red-headed stepchild cat, and hates pink. This cat barely tops her:

The still pretty much sums up the video

It was bound to happen sooner or later. I got asked to the Senior Ball. Eh, not really... my boyfriend basically told me to get a dress and look pretty. :) My dress was gorgeous, black satin with a pick-up skirt and a red sash. Alex of course looked stunning. I couldn't keep my eyes off him. We went to a classy Italian restraunt down town. I felt like a princess! The Ball took place at the state capital.

Aw, That New Decade Smell

Congrats on surviving another decade, faithful followers. We leave behind an era of girls with sunglasses larger than their skulls, teeny tiny puppies in purses, poor excuses for music(add any hiphop song here), Jonas Brothers, the list goes on.

My holidays, you ask? All I asked for was that my Grandpa would be able to live to see the end of the year. Sadly he passed away Sunday the 20th, 5 days before Christmas. His poor sick body can now be in beautiful Southern Utah, where he loved most to be. Its funny how the death of someone so close and dear to you can bring about a change. Family is now more important to me than ever. Everything I own is more sentimental, the necklace he gave me last Christmas lays close to my heart. A pretty journey diamond pendant. Wherever I end up in this crazy journey of life I will step out into before I'm even ready, my grandpa's words of praise and love will echo in my ears. How do you summarize 16 years of happy memories? With tales of lazy summer afternoons watching clouds on his porch. Crisp fall days picking apples and pears in his orchard. How about playing on the rocking horse he made me? My grandpa was a great man who will be missed immensly.
